Nikki Giovanni Creecy

Founder and Executive Director

TCF is continuing to grow, and we  could not be more excited. We have  seen an increase in our social skills  training participants. Our phones  continue to ring with people and their  families needing our support.

We  are continuing to access the specific  needs of people with ASD, with the  expectation of developing programs  and resources that directly respond  to those needs. With this in mind, we  look forward to continuing to connect  with community partners and donors  that want to help us serve people  with the highest level of quality. We  look forward to partnering with YOU!

I want to take the time to thank each of you for your support. We do not take it lightly. We thank you for believing in us. With your support and belief, we will continually strive to provide equal opportunities for people that are impacted by ASD and other Developmental Disabilities.

New
Website Launched

We are so excited about our brand new website for The Connect Foundation, as we highlight our  new logo and colors. Our brand represents an independent nonprofit foundation aimed exclusively at  funding services, not providing them.

When an individual receives funding through our Foundation,  they may apply the funding to the service provider of their choice.

Our inquiry form is now located on our website for seamless access to our organization. Directly  on the homepage you can choose to review our funded services or apply for funding. You can also  become a donor who contributes to bridging the gap for ASD services as well. You can be a one time, weekly or monthly donor who can contribute to the general fund, The Connect House, or social  skills training.

The Connect House

In 2024, we continued to make progress on making The Connect  House a reality through grant writing and permitting with the City.

The concept of The Connect House functions as a direct response  to homelessness in Cumberland County and giving more individuals  the opportunities, tools, and empowerment to live independently.

We are actively applying for federal and city grants, particularly as  relates to housing to help make the dream of The Connect House  a reality. Our special use permit and building permit are granted,  where we plan to break ground in 2025. We plan to apply for  additional grants in 2025, so that our first residents, Brandi and  Janique Townsend, can move in soon. They can’t wait!

We Run For Autism 5k 2024

Results, Successes and Funding Initiatives

Our second annual We Run For Autism 5K, hosted by Fayetteville Running Club, was spectacular. The Sunday morning event on April 14th was a huge success in multiple ways.

Our second annual We Run for Autism 5K was held on Sunday, April 14, 2024 and was a huge success in multiple ways. First of all, we had a great rise in participation where 162 individuals  registered and 138 runners finished. Secondly, we were blessed  this year with a number of generous, new local sponsors. We  raised $4300 this year, where 100% of proceeds cover participants  funding for a social skills training program hosted by ShineLight,  Inc. We can expand the number of participants in 2025, so sign up  today to run or become a sponsor!
Thank you to our 2024 sponsors: FirstHealth Convenient Care; Kentucky Fried Chicken; Fleet Feet; Exit Realty; Richard H. Shereff, M.D. Dermatology; and Kidz Dominion Daycare.
We have also begun to make small fundraising efforts to benefit social skills training as well, such  as a collaboration with Nikki Giovanni Worship, where 10% of the proceeds of all music purchased  went to TCF for the month in September 2024 for a total of $400.
